BURLINGAME, SAN MATEO COUNTY — NOVEMBER 5, 2026. Caltrans has scheduled pothole repair work at the northbound Interstate 280 on-ramp serving Skyline Boulevard and Trousdale Drive in Burlingame. The agency lists daytime ramp closures on Thursday November 5 and Friday November 6, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Which drivers are affected?
The restriction is to the specified northbound entrance ramp. The notice does not say all of I-280 is closed, nor does it announce a full closure of Skyline Boulevard. Drivers who normally enter the freeway here should watch for posted detour directions and choose a different legal entrance if the ramp is blocked.
What is being repaired?
Caltrans says the purpose is pothole repair along the ramp, intended to improve roadway conditions and driving comfort. The work is distinct from another Burlingame construction operation on northbound El Camino Real (SR-82) Friday November 6, which has separate school pickup and pedestrian effects. Local travelers should check both projects when planning trips.
Stay current
The published 8 a.m.–4 p.m. work window is a plan rather than live confirmation that the ramp is presently blocked. Caltrans says closures depend on the weather. Motorists should slow near crews, follow work-zone signs and use the state QuickMap for current conditions.
