BURLINGAME — November 4, 2026. In Burlingame’s City Council District 3, Howard Wettan holds a lead over Jen Faber following the November 3 election. San Mateo County’s final semi-official election-night report records 906 votes (64.30%) for Wettan and 503 (35.70%) for Faber, a margin of 403 votes.

Other council races

The same report lists Andrea Pappajohn as the sole printed candidate in Council District 1, with 940 votes. In District 5, Peter W. Stevenson is the only printed candidate and has 929 votes. Those two races are independent district contests, not competitors against Wettan or Faber.

Why the figures may change

The county warns that the election-night report excludes many later-received vote-by-mail ballots and conditional or provisional ballots. The results are therefore preliminary even where a reported margin is large. A later official release could raise the totals; the county will certify election results after its canvass.

Data: San Mateo County’s semi-official final election-night tally from November 4, 2026. The county says mail ballots received after October 30 and conditional or provisional ballots are not yet included. The next release is expected before 4:30 p.m. November 5, with certification scheduled for December 3. The reported leaders are not certified winners.
